Fluid-Applied Systems
A continuous barrier, not a lapped one
Fluid-applied air and water-resistive barriers are rolled or sprayed onto the substrate to form a single monolithic membrane. Unlike sheet goods, there are no laps to fishmouth and no fasteners to leak, and the membrane bridges the substrate transitions where most air and water leakage actually happens.
Continuous air barriers also cut conditioned air loss, which matters on every commercial project working to a modern energy code.
- Fluid-applied air and water-resistive barriers
- Liquid flashing at openings and penetrations
- Reinforced transitions and control joints
- Compatible primers and substrate preparation
- Coordination with window and roofing trades
- Manufacturer-approved system assemblies
Scope
Detailing is the whole job
Rough openings, transitions, penetrations, and control joints are treated with compatible liquid flashing and reinforcing fabric before the field membrane goes on.
We install manufacturer-approved systems and coordinate the barrier with the cladding, window, and roofing scopes so the envelope is genuinely continuous at every interface.
